Dhenkanal: Gold & Cash Worth Rs. 22 Lakh Looted From Businessman

Dhenkanal: In yet another theft incident reported from the generally tranquil Dhenkanal district of Odisha, at least six criminals allegedly forced their way into a businessman’s home in Sadanapada, which is within the jurisdiction of Parjang police station, last night and stole gold jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh and cash worth Rs 7 lakh.

Six burglars allegedly broke into the businessman’s home and terrorised the family, according to sources. He was held at gunpoint by the thieves who stole the ornaments and money while hiding their faces behind masks.

An FIR in this context was lodged by the victim at the Parjang police station.

On the basis of the complaint, the police, a scientific team, and a dog squad launched an inquiry while work was being done to find, track down, and apprehend the thieves.
