Doctors Successfully Removes Javelin From Balangir Minor’s Neck, CM Wishes Speedy Recovery

Balangir: After an hour’s operation, doctors have successfully removed the javelin from a 14-year-old boy’s neck, who was critically injured after the object pierced through his neck. The boy is stated to be out of danger now.

According to reports, a team of seven doctors was appointed to carry out the sensitive operation.

After conducting several tests on the victim, the doctors successfully removed the javelin from his neck.

During the operation, the Superintendent of Police, Sub-Collector along with the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) and District Educational Officer (DEO) were present in the hospital.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed concern over the accident. The Chief Minister also wished him a speedy recovery.

Reports said, a javelin injured a student in Bolangir in a school sports event and he has been taken to Bhima Bhoi medical college and hospital.

As per the direction of the Chief Minister, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian spoke to Bolangir Collector and enquired about the condition of the boy and directed for all support.

The Chief Minister has directed to provide better treatment to the boy and assistance for the treatment will be met from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
