Balasore: Fakir Mohan University (FMU) in Odisha’s Balasore is taking steps to combat pollution on its campus by going completely vehicle-free starting August 15.
Designated parking spaces will be provided outside the campuses for staff, students, and visitors. FMU is also introducing battery-operated vehicles and cycles, as well as wheelchairs at entry gates, to promote sustainable and eco-friendly transportation.
The FMU alumni association has donated four battery-operated vehicles to support the university’s eco-friendly vision.
With these efforts, FMU is paving the way towards a greener and pollution-free environment on its campuses.
