Odisha Vigilance Nabs Ex-TDCCOL GM with ₹5.54 lakh Unaccounted Cash

Bhubaneswar: Former GM of Tribal Development Cooperative Corporation Limited (TDCCOL), Rohit Kumar Parida, was arrested by Odisha Vigilance today for being in possession of unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 5.54 lakh.

The interception took place as Parida was preparing to board a Bhubaneswar-bound bus at Chandragiri around 12.30 am. The anti-corruption agency officers discovered the cash during a search and found Parida unable to provide a satisfactory account of its origin. The Vigilance team promptly seized the unexplained cash.

In connection with the incident, simultaneous searches were conducted at three locations linked to Parida, suspecting that he might have assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. He is currently under questioning to ascertain the source of the seized cash.
