Ganjam Bus Accident Claims 2 Lives, 5 Injured

Berhampur: Two persons were killed while five others were injured in a bus accident on Kanakata ghati road in Patrapur block of Ganjam district.

Meanwhile, the identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. Reports say all deceased are women.

The mishap took place when a bus toppled while manoeuvring a turn on the Kanakata ghati.

According to reports, the bus was coming from Rayagada in Gajapati district and proceeding to Patrapur in Ganjam when the accident took place.

Following this, two persons were killed on the spot while 15 sustained grievous injuries.

They have been shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here. The accident led to a road blockade which was cleared after an hour.
