Groom Meets Watery Grave During Post Wedding Rituals In Balasore

Balasore: A youth drowned in a village pond while performing post-marriage rituals at Khadapuhi under Khantapada police station limits in the Balasore district.

The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kumar Bhanj.

According to reports, the incident took place during the post-wedding rituals. When Ajay had gone to take a bath in the pond his leg slipped and he died on the spot.

On being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for post-mortem.

Further investigation is underway in this regard.
