Huge Cache Of Brown Sugar Seized In Khordha, 3 Held

Khordha: A huge cache of brown sugar has been seized by Balianta police, arresting three interstate peddlers on Sunday.

The accused have been identified as Seikh Muna, Aftar Hussain and Ismail Khan. They are natives of the Jaleswar area in Balasore district.

Acting on reliable inputs, police special squad intercepted the accused near the Mahatma Setu at Balianta.

During the search operation, at least 400 grams of brown sugar were recovered from the accused. A TVS scooter, and two mobiles with Rs 500 cash were also seized from them.

Police said that the three peddlers were trafficking brown sugar from Balasore to Khordha. Further investigation is underway.
