Jumbo Found Dead In Deogarh’s Riamala Forest Range

Deogarh: A female elephant was found dead near Khilaberini village under the Riamala forest range in the Deogarh district.

According to forest officials, it is believed that the jumbo might have died after coming in contact with the live wire.

Following the death of the elephant, a herd of 16 elephants is guarding the spot.

On being informed, forest officials rushed to the spot and started the investigation into the matter.

On the other hand, the elephants also destroyed crops at agricultural fields here, following which the villagers urged the forest officials to take immediate steps to drive the wild animals away from the village.
