Miscreants Hurl Bombs At Police Team In Berhampur, 5 Detained

Berhampur: Miscreants allegedly hurled crude bombs at a police team in Srikshetra Vihar area under Bada Bazar police limits of Berhampur city today. No policeman has been injured in the incident. Meanwhile, five persons were detained in this connection.

According to reports, crude bombs were reportedly hurled at a person’s house in Laxmi Nrusingha Sahi under Bada Bazar police limits.

Following this, a police team of Bada Bazaar police station led by Sub Inspector Ranjit Das went to nab the accused persons in Srikshetra Vihar area.

“Then IIC Bada Bazaar and SDPO Town formed a big team to apprehend the accused persons. Till now we have detained three men and two women. They are being questioned,” an official stated.

Police have seized a few crude bombs and bomb-making materials from the premises of the accused persons, reports added.
