Bhubaneswar: The Odisha state government is taking steps to improve service delivery in Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) by introducing more positions in the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) and Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) cadres.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the creation of 35 additional positions in the OAS cadre and 32 additional positions in the ORS cadre, with the goal of improving services for ULB residents.

These new positions will be distributed across various municipal corporations, municipalities, and NACs, further strengthening service capabilities in these areas. The additional staff will be able to provide more efficient and effective services to citizens, such as building and development permits, property tax collection, and grievance redressal.
The Odisha government’s initiative to enhance service delivery in ULBs is a welcome move. It will help to improve the quality of life for residents of urban areas in the state.
