Odisha’s GST Revenue Surges by 19.26% to ₹7,225.25 Cr Till July 2023

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s GST revenue has seen significant growth, recording a 19.26% increase with a mop-up of Rs 7,225.25 crore from OGST and IGST settlements until July 2023. This progressive collection marks a substantial improvement compared to the Rs 6,058.27 crore collected by July 2022, reflecting a 19.26% growth rate.

In July 2023, the state collected Rs 1,716.49 crore from OGST and IGST settlements, with OGST alone contributing Rs 1,300.33 crore. This showcases a growth rate of 16.87% from the Rs 1,112.66 crore collected in July 2022.

The cumulative OGST collection until July 2023 stands at Rs 5,511.69 crore, experiencing a 5.21% growth compared to Rs 5,238.61 crore collected until July 2022.

Regarding the overall gross GST collection (OGST+IGST+SGST+Cess), the state collected Rs 4,245.40 crore in July 2023, reflecting a substantial 16.26% growth from the Rs 3,651.61 crore collected in July 2022.

In terms of all Acts monitored by the Commissionerate of CT and GST, Odisha, including GST/VAT/Entry Tax/Profession Tax, the state recorded a collection of Rs 10,776.87 crore up to July 2023, experiencing a growth rate of 12.69% compared to the Rs 9,563.01 crore collected up to July 2022.

July 2023 witnessed the generation of approximately 20.12 lakh waybills, reflecting a robust 28.31% growth from the 15.68 lakh waybills generated in July 2022, indicating a positive trend in the economic sector.
