IMD Forecasts Light Rain in Parts of Odisha on February 15 & 16

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain or thundershowers in isolated parts of Odisha on February 15 and 16. While no major weather system is expected over the region, scattered showers are likely over Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts on Thursday, and Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore districts on Friday. The rest of the state is expected to remain dry.

Temperature forecasts indicate a slight rise in minimum temperatures by 2°C in many places, with no significant changes thereafter across Odisha.

The recorded highest maximum temperature was 34.8°C in Paralakhemundi, while the lowest minimum temperature was 12.4°C in Keonjhar in the plains of Odisha.

For February 15, light rain or thundershowers are likely in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, while the rest of the districts will experience dry weather. On February 16, similar conditions are expected in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, with dry weather prevailing in the remaining districts.
