Mithun Chakraborty Diagnosed With Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident Stroke

Kolkata: Veteran actor and politician Mithun Chakraborty, aged 73, was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after experiencing weakness in his right upper and lower limbs. The hospital has confirmed that he has been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) of the brain. He is currently under observation and receiving treatment from a team of doctors, including neuro-physicians, cardiologists, and gastroenterologists.

Despite his health condition, Chakraborty remains conscious and well-oriented and is able to consume a soft diet. Known for his iconic roles in films like “Disco Dancer” and “Agneepath,” Chakraborty has also recently been named as a recipient of the Padma Bhushan Awardees 2024.

In addition to his illustrious film career, Chakraborty is also known for his involvement in politics, having joined the BJP in 2021 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Kolkata’s Brigade Parade Ground.
