Odisha School Teachers To Don New Uniforms Soon

Bhubaneswar: The state of Odisha intends to change the dress code for teachers in all schools throughout the whole state. The revised dress code will be in effect starting with the academic year 2023–2024, according to plans.

A plan for changing the dress code for teachers has been proposed by the state government as a result of the consolidation of the elementary, upper primary, and high schools onto a single campus, according to sources. A final decision on the subject has not yet been made, though.

The 2010 dress code that was implemented in schools will be changed in accordance with the idea. The Department of School and Mass Education will alter the clothing code for female primary school teachers at composite schools with classes I through X.

The government wants to introduce uniformity because teachers in various courses at the same school currently wear different uniforms. As a result, they claimed, a proposal has been developed to mandate the same dress code for teachers at composite schools throughout the state.

There is currently no proposal to create a clothing code for professors of plus 2 classes, according to sources, however, a final decision in this regard has not yet been made.

The state government originally instituted a dress code for teachers in primary, upper primary, and high schools in 2010, and for the past five years, however, many ideas to change it have been explored.
