Protest Erupts Over Alleged OSSC ULB Accountant Exam Paper Leak

Bhadrak: Candidates appearing for the OSSC ULB Accountant Examination at Bhadrak Autonomous College raised serious concerns about the transparency of the process today.

The exam, scheduled from 10 am to 12 noon, was marred by allegations of a question paper leak. According to the protesters, the question paper seal appeared to have been tampered with, and candidates received the papers 15 minutes behind schedule.

The college authorities have denied any question paper leak and asserted that the examination was conducted following all protocols. They admitted to a 15-minute delay in distributing the papers but granted the candidates an additional 15 minutes towards the end of the exam to compensate for the delay.

This incident comes in the wake of a similar situation during the OSSC JE (Civil) Main written examination, where question papers were leaked, leading to its cancellation. The authorities have arrested 17 individuals, including the mastermind Vishal Kumar Chaurasia, a government employee in Bihar, who demanded large sums of money from job applicants in exchange for the leaked papers.

Despite the protests and allegations, the college authority remains open to any future inquiries and asserts their adherence to the examination guidelines. The situation has raised concerns about the security and integrity of the examination process conducted by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission.
