Police IIC & ASI Arrested in Balasore for Taking ₹50,000 Bribe From Liquor Trader

Balasore: Chandipur Police Station in Balasore faced a significant scandal as the Vigilance Department apprehended two officers for alleged bribery. Inspector-In-Charge Ganeswar Pradhan and Assistant Sub-Inspector Pradeep Mohanty were caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a liquor trader.

According to reports, the accused policemen were engaged in an illicit arrangement, taking a monthly commission from the liquor trader, who owns a shop in Balaramgadi, Balasore. The vigilance sleuths acted promptly to apprehend the officers during one of these transactions.

It has come to light that Ganeswar Pradhan previously served as the IIC of the traffic police station before being transferred to Chandipur Police Station.
