Prasad Harichandan Appointed as Convenor of Congress Election Management Team in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The former president of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Prasad Harichandan has taken on a pivotal role in the upcoming simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state. The All India Congress Committee (AICC) announced his appointment as the convenor of the party’s election management team, effective immediately.

In a statement issued today, the AICC confirmed Harichandan’s new responsibility, highlighting his extensive experience in both party leadership and ministerial roles. His mandate includes overseeing coordination and communication strategies, particularly with regards to media and social media engagement, in the lead-up to the polls.

Harichandan’s duties extend to managing various aspects of the election campaign, including the operation of the party’s election war room and ensuring effective political mobilization. AICC’s Odisha in-charge, Ajoy Kumar, endorsed the appointment, emphasizing Harichandan’s crucial role in driving the party’s electoral efforts in the state.
