‘Maidaan’ Trailer: Ajay Devgn Vows to Revive Football’s Golden Era

Mumbai: Ajay Devgn is set to dazzle audiences once again, this time with his upcoming sports drama “Maidaan.” Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film delves into the captivating narrative of legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, hailed as the architect of modern Indian football.

The recently released trailer offers a glimpse into India’s glorious football history, set against the backdrop of the 1950s and 60s. Devgn portrays the passionate Rahim, whose unwavering dedication to the sport earns him the title of ‘football’s devotee’ from his wife, played by Priyamani.

Rahim’s vision transcends societal barriers as he handpicks underdogs, disregarding their socio-economic backgrounds, to form a formidable national football team.
