2 Minor Girls Swept Away in Luni River in Kendrapara District, One Saved

Kendrapara: Two minor girls were swept away while swimming in the Luni river near Banapada village of Mahakalpada block in Kendrapara district Odisha on Saturday.

According to reports, one of them was safely rescued from the river by the locals. The missing girl was identified as 14-year-old Abhilipsa Behera.

These students of class IX went to swim and bathe in the Luni river on Saturday morning. But while swimming in the river, both were swept away by the river current.

Personnel of the fire brigade and local villagers are continuing the search for the missing student.
