Farmer Electrocuted Coming in Contact With Electric Trap Set by Poachers in Ganjam Dist

Berhampur: A peasant was electrocuted to death when he came in contact with an electric trap laid by poachers to kill wild animals at Talasakara village under Buguda police station limits in Ganjam district.

The deceased was identified as Arun Nayak. He was irrigating his field when came in contact with the live wire trap laid by poachers on Friday night.

When Arun did not return home till late night, his family members searched for him and found him in a critical condition.

He was rushed to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead. Buguda police have seized the dead body for post-mortem. An investigation has been started to track down the poachers who had laid the killer trap.
