Bhubaneswar: An inter-state wildlife smuggling racket was unearthed by the forest officials in Odisha with the arrest of 7 persons involved in the racket.
The wildlife body parts seized from the possession of the arrested persons included five leopard skins, one fishing cat skin, one leopard cat skin and huge quantities of pangolin scales.
Principal Chief Conservators of Forests (Wildlife) Susanta Nanda in a post in X said, it was a major crackdown on illegal trade of wildlife body parts by the racketeers. He congratulated the officials and said the kingpin of the racket would be arrested soon.
