13 Children Injured by Electrocution During Ugadi Chariot Procession in Andhra Pradesh

Visakhapatnam: At least 13 children were injured when the chariot of a Ugadi procession touched an overhead high-voltage electric wire at Tekur village in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district.

The electrocuted children were admitted to a hospital in Kurnool for treatment. The doctors confirmed that the children were out of danger. All injuries were reported to be below 10 per cent severity, with no fatalities recorded.

YSRCP leader and Panyam MLA Katasani Ramabhupal Reddy and Nandyala TDP candidate Byreddy Shabari visited the hospital to meet the injured children.
