Woman Suffocates Son, Daughter to Death in Andhra Pradesh

Visakhapatnam: A woman named Gangadevi was arrested for allegedly killing her seven-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter in Andhra Pradesh.

According to police sources, the accused suffocated her children to death in the Jalahalla police station area. After committing the gruesome act, the woman called the police to inform her crime. She also told the police that she intended to commit suicide.

But personnel of the Jalahalli police station reached the scene in time and arrested Gangadevi.

Gangadevi serves at a private marketing firm. In the past, she had lodged a police complaint against her husband for misconduct with the children. Her husband was booked in a POCSO case and was sent to jail after arrest.

Police are trying to find out the motive behind the crime and have launched an investigation.
