Woman Kills Her 2 Kids to Elope with Lover in Maharashtra

Mumbai: A 25-year-old woman named Sheetal Pole from Maharashtra’s Raigad was arrested for allegedly killing her two children, aged three and five to elope with her lover.

During the police interrogation, Sheetal confessed that she murdered her children as she felt they were a hindrance to her plans to elope with her lover.

According to reports, the accused woman was having a relationship with her lover before her marriage.

She allegedly killed the two children on March 31. Her husband Sadanand Pole, rushed the unconscious children to the Alibag Civil Hospital in Raigad, where doctors declared them brought dead.

During the investigation, police unearthed Sheetal’s relations with one Sainath Jadhav. Meanwhile, Sheetal confessed to killing her children after repeated questioning. She told police that she suffocated them to death using a towel. The autopsy report also confirmed this.

Sheetal was in a relationship with Sainath before her wedding to Sadanand. She was in touch with her lover even after her wedding.

Sheetal felt the children were an “obstruction” in her plans to elope with Sainath Jadhav. She had not allowed Sainath Jadhav to get married even after her marriage, as she wanted to elope with him.
