One Killed, His Elder Brother Seriously Injured by Electric Trap Set for Animals in Sambalpur Dist

Sambalpur: A person lost his life and his elder brother was seriously injured when both of them came in contact with an electric trap inside Tumer jungle under Jujumura police station limits in Sambalpur district.

According to sources, this electric trap comprising a network of live wires was set by some poachers to kill wild animals.

The younger brother was electrocuted to death on the spot, while the seriously injured elder brother was shifted to Burla Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Earlier on April 22, a man died of electrocution and his son was seriously injured when a high voltage power cable snapped and fell on them while they were working in their agricultural field near Adapada in the Sankhemundi block of Ganjam district.
