Failing to Get Ticket, Ex-MLA Raseswari Panigrahy Leaves BJD

Bhubaneswar: Former MLA of Sambalpur, Dr. Raseswari Panigrahi resigned from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD)on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming elections in Odisha.

She sent her resignation letter to the BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik.

A Gynaecologist by profession, Dr. Raseswari Panigrahi wa selected to Odisha Assembly for the first time from Sambalpur on BJD ticket in 2014. But she lost the election from the same seat in 2019.

She was an aspirant for the BJD ticket from Sambalpur. But the party chose Rohit Pujari as its candidate for Sambalpur Assembly seat.
