Private Bus Owners’ Association Pushes Back Planned Strike

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association has decided not to go ahead with its planned strike following a discussion with the State government.

On Thursday, the Private Bus Owners Association warned of a state-wide bus strike from tomorrow.

The association also threatened the same as the police could not protect the bus staff during the ongoing protest of Driver Mahasangha.

Association secretary Debendra Kumar Sahu on Friday informed that the strike which was threatened following the disruption of bus operations by Drivers’ Mahasangh has been cancelled.

The association had demanded National Highways free from agitators, and security for their staff and buses during the Drivers’ Mahasangh protest.
