Nuapada: Again Maoist menace raised its ugly head in the hills of Nuapada as the red rebels killed a man suspecting him to be a police informer late Thursday night.
The incident took place at Dhekunapani village located in Sunabeda wildlife sanctuary under Komana police limits.
The deceased has been identified as Anantaram Rout, a resident of the same village and he was found face-down with Maoist posters placed on his body.
In that posters, the ultras justified the killing by branding the youth as a police informer.
According to reports, a group of armed Maoists barged into the village, dragged Rout out of his house, and shot him dead.
On Friday morning, the villagers found the body lying in a pool of blood and informed the police regarding the same.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
