Secretary To CM (5T) Tours Industrial Estates In Khurda

Bhubaneswar: Following instructions of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, 5T Secretary VK Pandian visited Khurda Industrial Park, Food Park, IID Khurda and Jaymangal Industrial Park this afternoon and discussed various problems of industrialists, employees and local people.

Pandian advised the Industry Department and the District Magistrate to solve all the problems within 3 months. About 50 small and medium enterprises and their union workers of Khurda industrial area participated in the discussion.

Various issues such as improvement in electricity and water supply, problems of parking of trucks, hostels for workers, traffic management, waste management, and security system were discussed.

It was decided that hostels will be arranged for the accommodation of two to three thousand workers in all Industrial Estates. Many industries have faced losses during the Covid pandemic. Pandian said there will be a special policy for these units. In the meeting, importance was laid on the employment of local people.

He also visited Jayamangal industrial area where Pandian interacted with engineering and management graduates who had left their jobs during the Covid epidemic. Pandian promised that the state government would extend full cooperation to them in their efforts to set up enterprises.

The visit of the 5 secretaries caused great enthusiasm and happiness among the industrialists. Expressing satisfaction that their long-term problem has been solved today, they said that the problem of 40 years has been solved today in just 40 minutes.
