Several Odisha Dists To Witness Rainfall From Today; Yellow Alert Issued

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre here issued rain and thunderstorm activities for several districts of Odisha from Today.

The alert has been sounded at one or two places in Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, and Sambalpur districts today.

Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places in Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh districts of the state.

The bulletin further said that several districts of Odisha are likely to receive rainfall under the influence of Kalbaisakhi for the next four days.
