Srimandir Witnesses Sea Of Devotees On New Year 2023

Puri: Puri Srimandir witnessed a huge footfall of devotees flocking the temple to seek the blessing of the Holy Trinity on the very first day of the year.

Devotees make a beeline to the temple on December 31 and January 1 every year to seek blessings of the holy trinity in the New Year.

Meanwhile, after two years of subdued New Year celebrations under coronavirus guidelines, Puri witnessed a huge inflow of devotes on the New year.

Lakhs of devotees thronged the holy city to have darshan of the presiding deities of the temple. The New Year’s congregation at the temple is being allowed after a gap of two years.

Reportedly, the Puri administration has chalked out a comprehensive plan for crowd management. More than 20 platoons of police personnel have been deployed in and around the Srimandir to maintain law and order in the area.
