Three Killed, 10 Injured As Coal-Laden Truck Hits Bus In Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: As many as three persons were killed while 10 others were injured after a speeding coal-laden hyva truck hit a bus carrying labourers from a plant on Jharsuguda-Sambalpur Biju Expressway on Friday.

According to sources, the coal-laden truck collided with the bus head-on near Power House Chhak on the Jharsuguda bypass road.

The bus was ferrying labourers from the JSW plant to Jharsuguda.

On intimation, police reached the spot and rescued the victims with the help of locals.

Till the last report came in, the injured were being shifted to the district headquarters hospital in ambulances.
