Two Odisha Writers To Receive Sahitya Akademi Awards

Bhubaneswar: Two authors from Odisha have been chosen to receive the Sahitya Akademi Awards for the year 2022.

While Narendra Prasad Das will receive the Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2022 for his Odia anthology of stories ‘Kolahala na Halahala’, young writer Dillip Behera will receive the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2022 for his Odia anthology of stories ‘Lanthan’.

Congratulating them through a tweet, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik stated, “May it be a source of inspiration for all and wish them both more success in enriching Odia literature.”

Both awards are in the form of a casket containing an engraved copper plaque and a cheque of Rs 50,000.
