Ahmedabad Gears Up for World Cup Final with Airshow, Laser Light Show and Pritam Performance

Ahmedabad: The Narendra Modi Stadium is all set to host the thrilling finale of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, featuring a face-off between cricket powerhouses India and Australia today. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled the comprehensive schedule for the event, promising an unforgettable experience.

On Saturday, the BCCI shared the excitement on their platform, emphasizing the unparalleled significance of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Final. The eagerly awaited showdown will be complemented by a series of spectacular events.

At 1:35 pm, just before the match kicks off, the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team from the Indian Air Force, led by Flight Commander Wing Commander Sidhesh Kartik, will treat the audience to a breathtaking 15-minute airshow. A formation of nine aircraft will grace the skies above the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In between the innings, the World Cup stage will come alive with the melodies of Bollywood music director Pritam, featuring a stellar lineup of singers including Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh, and Tushar Joshi. The musical extravaganza promises to include popular hits like ‘Dil Jashn Bole’ and other chart-toppers.

Adding to the spectacle, an international laser production will illuminate the Ahmedabad skies with over 1,200 lights, showcasing the name of the victorious team and the coveted trophy. The dazzling display will be followed by a 90-second fireworks extravaganza, providing a grand conclusion to this historic moment in international cricket.

Additionally, reports suggest that the BCCI plans to honour all the World Cup-winning captains at the Narendra Modi Stadium, adding a special touch to the celebration of cricket excellence. The stage is set for an epic finale that transcends the boundaries of sport.
