Arjun Tendulkar Hits Ton On Ranji Trophy Debut For Goa

Panaji: Like Sachin Tendulkar, his son Arjun Tendulkar also scored his maiden first-class century on his Ranji Trophy debut on Wednesday.

Arjun managed to emulate his father in the match against Rajasthan at the Goa Cricket Association Academy.

Way back in 1988, 34 years ago, Sachin scored a hundred on his Ranji Trophy debut against Gujarat when he was a mere 15 years old.

Arjun came to bat at No.7 after SD Lad got out with Goa’s score at 196 for the loss of four wickets in 78.1 overs.

And at the end of the 40th over, he was batting on 112, having stitched an unbroken 205-run stand with Suyash S Prabhudesai (172 batting).

Earlier, this season Tendulkar Jr had decided to move to Goa and had sought a No Objection Certificate (NoC) from Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
