Indian opener Shubman Gill has achieved a career-best 2nd position in the ICC men’s ODI batting rankings, following his recent impressive performances in the Asia Cup.

Gill has moved up one spot after scoring 58 runs and forming a formidable 121-run opening partnership with captain Rohit Sharma during the Asia Cup match against Pakistan.

Gill’s rise to the top is a welcome development for India, who are preparing for the upcoming ICC World Cup. He is now the highest-ranked Indian batsman in the ODI rankings, ahead of Rohit Sharma (8th) and Virat Kohli (9th).

Boult has taken 12 wickets in his last five ODIs, including a four-wicket haul against South Africa. Zampa has taken 10 wickets in his last four ODIs, including a four-wicket haul against Pakistan.
