ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice highlighted the UAE’s cultural diversity, calling it a “home World Cup” for all 10 teams. “The whole world is represented here, meaning players can expect passionate support from fans. I’m pleased to announce that tickets will be available from just five dirhams, and Under-18s will attend for free,” he said during a media briefing.

The tournament kicks off on October 3, featuring 10 teams competing in 23 matches over 18 days. Group A includes Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, while Group B features Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland. The format follows a round-robin structure, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stages.

The event begins in Sharjah with Bangladesh taking on Scotland. The semi-finals will be held on October 17 in Dubai and October 18 in Sharjah, with the final slated for October 20 in Dubai. Teams will also play warm-up matches from September 28 to October 1.
