J&K Knock Kerala Out Of Vijay Hazare Trophy To Lock Maiden Quarterfinal Entry

Ahmedabad: Jammu and Kashmir eliminated Kerala from the Vijay Hazare Trophy with a seven-wicket victory, extending their unbeaten streak in the competition to the quarterfinals on Saturday.

With a career-best haul of 4/39, the in-form Auqib Nabi stole the show as he helped J&K dismiss Kerala for only 174 in 47.4 overs after choosing to bowl first in their first-ever Vijay Hazare Trophy quarterfinal game.

In response, J&K cruised home in 37.5 overs thanks to an opening stand of 113 runs between Shubham Khajuria (76) and Qamran Iqbal (51), which they put up in just 21.4 overs.

Notably, Jammu and Kashmir had earlier defeated Baroda, Odisha, and Nagaland on their way to the quarterfinals.

J&K are now slated to face Assam in the 3rd Quarterfinal of the Vijaya Hazare Trophy on Nov 28.
