Messi’s Miami Move: Inter Miami On Verge of Securing Superstar Signing

Paris: Lionel Messi has been the subject of ongoing rumours linking him to Inter Miami as he approaches the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain in June. While Messi has received offers from various clubs, including his former team FC Barcelona and Saudi club Al-Hilal, reports from Argentinian and Spanish sources suggest that Miami is the most probable destination due to Barcelona’s inability to finalize a deal until they sell a player.

According to recent reports, Miami has presented Messi with an enticing offer of $54 million per year over a four-year period. Notably, this offer includes intricate sponsorship agreements with prominent brands such as Apple and Adidas, which would contribute to ensuring Messi receives top-tier compensation. The inclusion of such partnerships aligns with Miami’s efforts to secure Messi’s services by leveraging the support of influential brands.

Interestingly, Apple TV+ has recently made a significant announcement regarding Messi. They have acquired the rights to produce a four-part documentary chronicling the football star’s illustrious career. This collaboration with Apple TV+ also holds significance as the streaming platform is currently in the initial year of its television rights deal with Major League Soccer (MLS), potentially hinting at a connection to Miami’s pursuit of Messi.

It is worth mentioning that in 2022, rumours circulated claiming that Messi would join Inter Miami and acquire a 35 percent ownership stake in the club after his contract with PSG expires. However, his camp denied these reports.

Messi, who will turn 36 in June, enjoyed a successful season with PSG, contributing 16 goals and 16 assists in Ligue 1 during the 2022-23 campaign. Additionally, he recently led Argentina to a World Cup victory, further solidifying his status as one of the sport’s most accomplished and revered players.
