Mukesh Ambani Presents Bid To Buy Liverpool FC

Mumbai: With Mukesh Ambani, a multi-billionaire, showing interest in purchasing Liverpool, the club may be headed for an Indian takeover.

Ambani, who is listed by Forbes as the seventh richest person in the world and with a net worth of around £90 billion, has already inquired about the club.

But given that Liverpool’s existing owners, Fenway Sports Group, have been inundated with tentative bids, he will have to fend off interest from other parties from the Middle East and the USA.

They reportedly want to sell shares for £4 billion.

However, Ambani won’t be deterred by that sum because he is an avid sports lover.

He helped create the Indian Football Super League and is the owner of the Mumbai Indians franchise in the IPL.

While cricket is a religion in India, football is quickly catching up thanks to the English Premier League, where Liverpool is one of the fan-favourite clubs.

Ambani, 65, would be willing to inject millions into the club for transfers to help Liverpool’s aspirations to continue being one of Europe’s most successful clubs given his immense riches and passion for success.
