Gujarat: Saurashtra skipper Jaydev Unadkat demolished Delhi’s top order at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium Ground C in a thrilling Ranji Trophy comeback. Delhi won the toss and decided to bat, and in the first over of the game, Jaydev Unadkat recorded a jaw-dropping hat-trick.
Opening batsman Dhruv Shorey (0), Vaibhav Rawal (0), and captain Yash Dhull (0) were among Unadkat’s hat-trick victims. At the conclusion of the first over, Delhi were at 0 for 3, as he started the wicket-taking rampage with the third delivery of the game.
Jaydev Unadkat completed his 21st five-wicket haul in just the second over of the game, while Delhi were in trouble at 5 for 6. Unadkat took six wickets in only the opening hour of play, reducing Delhi down to 10 for 7.

Unadkat came back to dismiss Jonty Sidhu and Lalit Yadav in the third over.
The Saurashtra skipper made history as he became the first bowler to record a hat-trick in the opening over of a Ranji Trophy contest.
Unadkat made a thumping comeback to domestic cricket after making a memorable Test comeback after 12 years. He was part of a three-man pace attack in Bangladesh’s last test of a two-match series in December 2022.
