Blue Tick Can’t Be Purchased Anymore As Twitter Supposedly Removes Twitter Blue Subscription

New York: Twitter is currently causing a lot of confusion by introducing new features every day and then taking them away. Twitter’s special subscription ‘Twitter Blue’ after being in the headlines for the past few days looks to have been taken off. Some users complained that the website’s sign-up page for Twitter Blue is no longer functional.

Earlier this month, the platform only made the subscription available to iOS users. Android users haven’t received it yet. Since the morning, a number of people have expressed dissatisfaction with the cancellation of the subscription. Reports suggest that if someone tries to sign up for the subscription, then the app displays a message, saying “Thank you for your interest. Twitter Blue will be available in your country in the future. Please check back later.”

Reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong shared the same information on Twitter after finding that the subscription signup API and in-app purchase had been disabled. Previously, users could subscribe to this feature from the iOS app’s sidebar section.

However, the reason as to why Twitter eliminated the Blue membership option from its platform is yet to be known.
