Cement Blocks on Railway Track in Ajmer to Derail Train After LPG Cylinder on Track in Kanpur

New Delhi: Two cement blocks were placed on the railway track to derail a goods train in Rajasthan’s Ajmer. The cement blocks weighed 70 kg each. No untoward incident occurred as the train was able to continue its journey without any damage after hitting the cement blocks.

The police have registered an FIR under the Railway Act and Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act in relation to the incident that took place on Sunday at around 10.30 pm between the Saradhna and Bangad stations.

The police have launched a probe into the incident to nab the miscreants involved in it.

On Sunday, a similar incident occurred near Kanpur when the Kalindi Express train, travelling from Prayagraj to Bhiwani in Haryana, hit an LPG cylinder placed on the rail track. The loco pilot stopped the train in time. The items placed on the track included an LPG cylinder, a bottle of petrol and matchboxes. Six people have been detained in relation to this incident.
