UP Man Killed for Not Giving Free Golgappas!

Kanpur: A golgappa (gupchup) seller named Prem Chand was allegedly beaten to death by a group of miscreants for not serving free golgappas in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. The victim used to sell golgappas in Chakri area of Kanpur’s Safipur town. According to the son of the victim, his father was beaten up by a local goon, Dheeraj, and his accomplices when he refused to give them golgappas for free.

The injuries caused by their ruthless beating led to Prem Chand’s death later in the night at home. He is survived by his wife and four sons. On the basis of the family’s complaint, an FIR has been filed at the local police station.

The police have stated that the further course of action will be determined after the post-mortem report, reported India Today. The body was sent for autopsy, and further investigation is underway.
