Bhubaneswar: Severe heatwave condition prevails al over Odisha as several places in the state as four places experienced 40 degrees Celsius and above temperature by 11.30 AM on Thursday.
Weather scientist Umashankar Das posted on his ‘X’ that Bhubaneswar and Balasore were the hottest places in Odisha by 11.30 AM with 40.6 degrees C.
Chandbali and Jharsuguda recorded 40 degrees C at that time.
Day temperature was close to 40 degrees C in Sambalpur at 39.7 degrees followed by Keonjhar at 39 degrees C by 11.30 AM.
Hirakud recorded 38.6, Rourkela 37.9, Gopalpur 35.1 at that time.
Puri and Paradip recorded 34.5 degrees C by 11.30 AM.
