CM Mamata Banerjee Reaches Bhubaneswar on 3-Day Odisha Visit

Bhubaneswar: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee reached Bhubaneswar on an unofficial three-day visit to Odisha.

She will proceed to Puri, where she will spend the night at Nirman Nivas.

Banerjee will also visit the Jagannath Temple on Wednesday to offer her prayers to the Holy Trinity, for which special arrangements will be made for her darshan as the Banaklagi ritual will be performed in the temple on the same day.

The West Bengal Chief Minister is scheduled to leave for Bhubaneswar on Wednesday to meet the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik before taking the return flight to Kolkata from Bhubaneswar.

Though the visit has been described as ‘unofficial’, the one-to-one meeting scheduled between Mamata Banerjee and Naveen Patnaik has sparked speculation regarding the West Bengal Chief Minister’s initiative to forge an alliance of the regional parties for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, keeping the Congress at bay.
