Woman Postal Agent Held For Duping People Over Rs 50 Lakh

Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested a woman postal agent for allegedly Siphoning over Rs 50Lakh from several depositors.

The accused woman has been identified as Sawrnalata Das.

According to reports, the matter came to light after a woman from Kedar Lane of the Bhubaneswar Old Town area filed a complaint against Swarnalata.

Acting on the complaint, the cops arrested the accused and also recovered around 127 postal passbooks of 98 depositors from her house.

As per the investigation, it was learnt that the accused have duped several people of Rs 50 Lakh.

Further investigation is underway in this regard.
