Thunderstorm And Rain Likely In Several Odisha Districts Today

Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places in Odisha today.

The regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms in several districts of Odisha.

The IMD bulletin read, “Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri districts on Wednesday.”

Earlier, the IMD had forecast thunderstorms, lightning, hail, and rain in various parts of Odisha till April 28 and advised precaution.
