Sunita Kejriwal Announces Jailed Husband’s 6 “Guarantees” Ahead Of Polls

New Delhi: Sunita Kejriwal, wife of jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave a powerful speech at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan today. Addressing a massive gathering of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters alongside prominent opposition leaders, she conveyed a message from her husband, asserting that the people of India stand with him despite his imprisonment.

In her impassioned address, Sunita Kejriwal highlighted her husband’s vision for the nation, emphasizing six guarantees penned by him from jail. These promises include ensuring uninterrupted power supply, free electricity for the underprivileged, quality education for all, accessible healthcare facilities, fair prices for farmers, and granting statehood to Delhi.

The rally also saw strong condemnation of the BJP-led central government’s alleged misuse of enforcement agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Uddhav Thackeray, criticized the BJP’s tactics, accusing them of targeting political opponents.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and other leaders echoed support for Kejriwal, citing his contributions to Delhi’s development. The event also witnessed the presence of Kalpana Soren, wife of jailed former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Uddhav Thackeray of Shiv Sena (UBT) seized the opportunity to attack the BJP over the electoral bonds issue, labelling them as the “Bhrasht Janata Party.”

However, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi dismissed the opposition rally as an attempt to protect dynastic political families, labelling it as the “Parivar bachao, bhrashtachar chhupao” rally.
