New Delhi: Sumit, a businessman managing a travel agency and a gym was stabbed to death by 3-4 youngsters in the Bhajanpura area of north-east Delhi. He was recently released from jail after getting bail in an attempt to murder case.
The deceased was stabbed 17 times on his face, neck, chest and abdomen. After the attack, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
He faced the lethal attack on Wednesday at 11.30 pm, while he was sitting outside his house in Gamri Extension. According to eyewitnesses, Sumit had an altercation with 3–4 boys following which he was attacked by the group.
Sumit was convicted in an attempt to murder case and was recently granted bail by the Delhi High Court.
Police are scanning the CCTV footage of the area to apprehend the culprits.
